AN OLD MEMORY, STILL ALIVe.

Fencing for everyone. An interview from the past*

This was one of  the  first  interviews for Coach Silvia (hiding  in the left). It was on 2007 -yesterday-, when she was working  at another project with honorable Maitre Sanchez at Caracas Pedagogical Institute  (An university for future educators).

We post this memory  here because you can still hear Coach  saying:
" Fencing and life are the same thing. You teach (your students)  to differentiate if a situation is rather a difficulty or an opportunity, in order to take the right decision"  We always say: whatever you learn in fencing will help you on and off the strip.

Other remarks include: "Fencing is strength expressed with beauty. What started as a fight for personal defense has become a very refined and artistic sport" " In the training session, the athlete works on physical conditions such as strength, speed and coordination, as well as  logical and tactical  thinking and  fast response".

Most of  the  students at that time are mothers and great role models in their communities,, today. We certainly keep this time and memories in our hearts.
