They are always great role models and a big addition to our team. Let wish them all success!
On November 4th, one of our students earned his first E rating. Despite not bringing home a medal, this achievement is an important step for our school. Ratings are giving based on the number of participants at each event, as well as the number of rated participants and the position achieved at the event. This rating will ensure better seeding for future competitions.
Both of our students did a great job, competing at the local level. Congratulations and keep the good work!

We can't wait to see what the future holds for us.

On October 14-15, Coach Silvia attended the Individual Lesson Coaching Clinic. This event, organized by Salle De Long in El Paso, TX; was presented by Maestra Margaret Ready De Long (Foil), and Maestro Evandro Duarte Oliveira (Epee).
With 15 Coaches attending, and a outstanding 50% women participation, the clinic was full of learning and professional growth, as well as an opportunity to connect with new and emerging clubs. We all shared our experience and knowledge in fencing education.
This was a United States Fencing Coaches Association approved clinic, where several coaches came to obtain a higher certification on their coaching pathway. At Dragon Heart Fencing Academy, continuous education is of utmost importance: every single piece of information contributes to the improvement of our students, and to our club performance.
Clinic content included: how to build your individual lesson, cues and signs, tempo and distance drills and exercises; games and group activities, and much more. Maestra Silvia shared a brief talk on fencing and health and encouraged every new coach to continue their pathway to higher certification.
Congratulations to all new certified coaches and thank you Maestra Margaret de Long for welcoming us. We felt at home.
